TIME OUT WITH

Flora Macdonald Johnston

Fashion & Luxury, The Financial Times, FT Next Gen Editor.

MY PERSONAL STYLE CODE IS...
I always think of myself as a chameleon with no real boundaries. I think my main rule for dressing is - does it make you feel like you're ready to take on the world?

MY STYLE ICON IS...
Ever-changing. Although I am constantly drawn to the androgynous yet chic style of Patti Smith and Fran Lebowitz. Crisp shirts, oversized blazers, and trousers.

ON MY DESK YOU'LL FIND...
My Anissa Kermiche ceramic boot vase, Sunspel’s Oakwood fragrance, an electric hot milk frother (at-home cappuccinos are essential), and a very battered notebook.

MY THREE FAILSAFE BEAUTY PRODUCTS ARE...
Chanel 'Le Lift' hand cream, La Prairie SPF50, and Wildsmith Skin cleansing balm.

THE MOST TREASURED THING IN MY WARDROBE IS...
A metal Moschino belt that was my mother's, it spells Moschino in individual gold-plated letters - peak 90's.

IF I DIDN'T LIVE IN London I WOULD LIVE IN Copenhagen.

MY FAVOURITE PIECE FROM MISELA IS...
Serena At Topkapı in caramel, it makes me think of summer holidays and cute beach bars, which are soon to be a reality!

IN MY BAG YOU'LL FIND...
Dry Shampoo, my dictaphone (I never go anywhere without it), current book on-the-go: Guantánamo Diary: The Fully Restored Text (Canons) by Mohamedou Ould Slahi, and sparkly hair clips by Ashley Williams.
